CPS, Inc.’s Automated Queue Management Solution Launched at New Whole Foods Market in Manhattan
QuikLine software will help keep retail checkout moving quickly by directing shoppers to open registers using visual and audio cues
Computer Presentation Systems (CPS), a leading developer of innovative and cost-effective software and hardware solutions, announced today that its QuikLine queue management solution (QMS) has been implemented at Whole Foods Market’s newest store in Manhattan’s Far West Side in New York City. The new 60,000-square-foot supermarket is situated within Brookfield Properties’ Manhattan West development project, part of the emerging 18 million-square-foot Hudson Yards district.
QuikLine will help keep the retail checkout at the new Whole Foods Market moving by directing shoppers in line to 32 checkout registers via large monitors and verbal messaging.
“Automated queue management solutions reduce average checkout time up to 35%…”
“Convenience and safety are essential to a positive shopping experience and retailers know that an efficient checkout process is a big part of that,” said Computer Presentation Systems’ President Bob Musa. “Automated queue management solutions reduce average checkout time up to 35 percent and perceived wait times by 40 percent. It’s a proactive way to make customers happier and help stores more seamlessly carry out the many transactions they handle each day.”
CPS’ QuikLine technology improves the customer experience by streamlining the checkout process for shoppers. Featuring digital signage, it guides customers through the checkout utilizing “call forward” visual and audio messaging to efficiently manage and direct traffic. QuikLine also provides integration with several different Point of Sale (POS) systems, meaning calls are made within a pre-configured amount of time after a transaction is completed, thereby reducing wait times.
Reconfigure automated line queues based on demand
CPS’ QuikLine is also a flexible tool that strengthens customer communication and allows for easy customization based on store branding and situational need. It can display retailer brand assets such as logos, graphics, fonts and colors, and distribute marketing messages including promotional videos and ads. As checkout configurations vary greatly between locations and during particular times of day or year, QuikLine also gives retailers the ability to reconfigure queues based on demand.
“We take pride in providing customizable, easy-to-use products backed by exceptional customer service that is highly personal and responsive,” added Musa. “We created QuikLine with retail store flexibility in mind.”
